EXHIBITION TOUR: Our relationship is beautiful due the distance
Presented by Corkin Gallery (In-Person and Virtual)

Michelle Forsyth will lead a tour of her first solo exhibition with Corkin Gallery, our relationship is beautiful due to the distance. Featuring Forsyth's work in sculpture,
drawing, painting, printmaking and photography, the exhibition brings together
works developed since 2014 including her Knitwear series and Footnotes series alongside a new series of self-portraits titled Improvisations.

Forsyth’s multidisciplinary practice explores the boundaries of her body by following her hand motion after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. In her new body of work Improvisations, the interest in textiles has taken a step forwarfeaturing herself as a part of the work. In these self-portraits, Forsyth performs with her pattern creations as an additional layer to the work/process. By wearing clothes she designed and hand-made, she integrates her persona in a visual dichotomy of appearing and disappearing.
