SOLO Salon

Join a selection of Art Toronto’s SOLO artists as they discuss their work through the lens of shared themes.

Each talk will feature four artists and analyze works exhibited within the context of the fair in conversations moderated by art professionals.

SOLO Salon talks take place at 5 PM in the SOLO space. Talks are approximately 45 minutes long and are complimentary with admission.

Derek Liddington, Artist

Art and material culture have long been aligned, but how does the translation of culture into art shift our understanding of the world we live in? A medium-specific exploration of the role of popular imagery in abstract contemporary painting.  Exhibiting artists include: Louis-Philippe Cote, Dil Hildebrand and Tessar Lo.

The Park

This year’s design initiative The Park in conjunction with the FOCUS: California exhibition presents a curated selection of video and works by local and international artists reflecting on abstract interpretations and notions of landscape.  Works are presented as movies in the park with expanses of green lawns and bleacher seating.

Canadian Masterworks
