Adam David Brown
M̶o̶o̶n̶light, 2015

Location L3

Presented by MKG127 (booth C26)

Adam David Brown’s work is guided by the principle of ‘less is more,’ and is frequently generated by his interest in science, language and the passage of time. M̶o̶o̶n̶light is a text-based sculpture that illuminates a photographic image of the moon. The moon image culled from the NASA online archive is paired with a carefully chosen, 1973 vintage typeface. Text and image are brought together to broadcast the idea of moonlight as an idealized, modern celestial object.
